Candler Park is a historic neighborhood about 5 minutes east of downtown and just south of Ponce De Leon Avenue. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Candler Park is one of Atlanta’s first suburbs and as such houses a full range of architecture from Queen Anne to Craftsman bungalows and rehabbed industrial lofts. The neighborhood is home to many great shops, bars, and everything eclectic. It’s a family-friendly area with a heavy focus on walkability and livability.

Although very much an urban area, it does offer you the ability to quickly getaway from city life and enjoy nature at one of its two large parks. Candler Park, the neighborhoods largest natural area, has great amenities including Candler Park Golf Course, as well as many soccer fields, a public pool, tennis courts and many quiet walking paths. If you’re looking for a secluded, quiet neighborhood not too far from downtown, this area is exactly that!
